Job Description
Synergy Sports Coaching is a professional sports coaching organisation operating within Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. Successfully delivering to more than 15,000 primary school children via sport and physical activity sessions every week. Synergy Sports Coaching aim to support teachers in their curriculum delivery, while providing parents with an invaluable service before, during and after school. We also aim to keep children active during holiday periods, by offering our ever popular holiday camps.

Since 2009 Synergy Sports Coaching has strived to push the boundaries of what excellent sport and physical education provision looks and feels like.

In 2010 Synergy Sports Coaching launched our Curriculum Support Programme a ground-breaking initiative delivered by our sports specialists. The programme offers schools tailor made packages of sport and activity options which are targeted towards achieving each schools curriculum outcomes. It is designed to be inclusive, with complete activity structures to engage each and every pupil, from those not normally inspired by sport, through to the budding stars of the future.

The PE & School Sport Apprentice will be responsible for assisting the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality PE and sport provision to children and young people in an education and community environment. All candidates must be comfortable with delivering a variety of different sports and developing into a PE Specialist. The apprentice will also have administrative responsibilities such as, regular use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Specific duties include:
– Preparing session plans
– Shadowing experienced coaches delivering sessions
– Preparing risk assessments for sessions
– Administration tasks associated with preparing for sessions i.e. collating registers and health and safety information on participants
– Conducting assessments in line with the curriculum

Location: The Terrace, Grantham Street, Lincoln, LN2 1BD
Places Available: 1
Hours: 30 hours a week (predominately Mon – Fri) do need to be flexible for weekend or evening work.

Weekly Wage: £99
