Overview:
Kingfisher Triathletes based in Kingston Upon Thames SW London are looking for a Head Coach to join the existing team of 6 L1/L2 coaches.
The club has a membership of around 120 members ranging in ability from New Comers to the sport of Triathlon right the way through to Age Groupers representing their nation.
We provide 2 Swim, 1 Run and 1 Turbo coached sessions a week year round to our members.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is Level 3 qualified or Level 2 and wanting to complete Level 3 in the near future. (the club would be willing to assist with this)
Desired skills and attributes:
• Good knowledge and understanding of triathlon
• Confident with good leadership skills
• Enthusiastic and a good motivator
• Ability to communicate with groups and individuals
• Appropriate qualifications BTA Level 2 or above
Offering: circa £4000 per annum dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLE TO: Committee
MAIN DUTIES
• Take responsibility for the oversight and co ordination of club coaching sessions
• Oversee sub-committee of coaches as necessary and coordinate all club coaches.
• Produce year plan and ensure that all coaching/training sessions are linked to it.
• Offer feedback on performances.
• Attend events and support members.
• Provide support and leadership to other coaches
• Ensure members comply with the Code of Conduct at group training sessions
• Liaise with external coaching bodies to organise training events for the Club
• Sanction members to become coaches and recommend them to the Committee for approval.
• Provide support, encouragement and where appropriate, advice to all Members of the Club on their individual training goals and aspirations.
• Convene meetings of Club coaches as necessary.
