Job Description
SASP (Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership) is the County Sports Partnership for Somerset, one of 45 across England, part funded by Sport England and acts as the strategic lead for sport in the County.

We are requesting applications for the post of Partnership Director owing to the retirement of our current Director this summer. The Partnership Director leads a team of 25 + staff and has a turnover of £1.2m pa. The new PD will lead the team into the next Sport England funding cycle and will provide leadership and vision for both staff and the Executive Board.

The applicant will need considerable levels of energy and stamina to continue to grow the SASP vision of making Somerset a more active county. As a Leader the successful candidate will have a key role in motivating others. It is essential that he / she has exceptional leadership, communication and inter personal skills.

The post will initially be contracted until March 2017 pending the confirmation of further funding from Sport England which is expected in Autumn 2016.
