Foundation Communications Assistant – Harlequin Football Club Ltd – London

Job Description
To support the Communications Team to identify and tell the impactful stories about how The Harlequins Foundation is improving the lives of the most vulnerable in the local community.
The Digital Communications Assistant will be responsible for assisting in writing impactful copy for multiple channels, supporting the management of social media channels, email marketing, website maintenance and analytical reporting.
Website
Keeping the website up to date with the latest news and information about programme delivery.
Supporting the reporting and analysis of data against KPIs.
Social Media
Supporting the management of The Harlequins Foundations Social Media channels – posting according to the planned schedule and interacting with relevant pages and posts.
Research into new content appropriate for each channel.
Work with the designer and videographer to create new content for each channel.
Supporting the reporting and analysis of data against KPIs.
Email Communications
Building and scheduling email communications in line with the planned schedule.
Research into new ways to ensure email communications are engaging to the appropriate audience.
Working with the wider team to ensure all information is included at appropriate times within the email schedule.
Supporting the reporting and of data analysis against KPIs.
Administration
Database administration – ensuring that the data is up to date and usable.
Researching local publications where The Harlequins Foundation news stories could be published and building those relationships.
Take notes during meetings and circulating them with actions to the appropriate people.
Assisting with reporting on SLAs for partnerships
Content Creation
General research for campaigns.
Supporting research for the content plans across all Foundation channels.
Support the team to identify powerful stories within The Foundation, and then the best way to tell them to a variety of audiences.
Be part of the creative process when the team are looking at new concepts for awareness and fundraising campaigns.
Working with the Video Content Producer to gain new images and film, then cataloguing them for easy future use.
Writing copy for press releases, social media posts, blogs for the website and any other content needed.
Proof reading for press, design, website and social media content.
Ad-Hoc
Supporting the Communications team, and wider Foundation team with any other duties required.
