Lead Professional Development Coach – Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club

Job Description
Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club are currently recruiting for an ambitious and dedicated individual to join our category one status academy.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic coach to lead the under 18’s squad and help prepare the players for elite professional football at the highest level through a multi-disciplinary approach. This role will be responsible for coaching, monitoring and assessing the players in the academy squad in training and in match performances. The post holder will also contribute to the scouting and recruitment process where appropriate.

Candidates must have a ‘UEFA A’ coaching licence and have completed FA Youth Award modules 1, 2 and 3. Preferably, candidates will have an FA Advanced Youth Award and must have valid FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency Aid certificates. The successful candidate will have experience of working within professional football in a coaching role at category one or international level and will have a clear understanding of the academy system.

Applicants must possess a proactive attitude and have the ability to work calmly under pressure whilst demonstrating high quality coaching and management skills. This is a full-time, permanent role based primarily at our world class training facility; the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be flexible with regards to working hours, to include some weekends and evening working. The successful candidate will be required to travel and must hold a high level of confidentiality.
