Job Description
The University of Warwick Women’s netball club is seeking a dynamic, passionate and reliable coach with experience of coaching netball to a high level of performance.
With currently three teams in the BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) League the purpose of this role primarily revolves around delivering quality coaching to the University netball teams; the key aim in increasing each team’s position within the league. The successful candidate will work closely with the girls, in particular the Captains, to create a positive sporting environment and work to develop students of all abilities. Primary responsibilities include general coaching practices such as session planning, delivery and evaluation procedures.

We are looking for an organised individual who possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to take responsibility for ensuring successful and safe delivery of sports training sessions on the Warwick campus. S/he will have an understanding of the individual and teams training needs due to the differing ability level between the 1st and the 3rd team and have previous experience of work in a similar environment.

Potential candidates must have achieved at least level 1 coaching.* Training sessions will take place on Monday and Thursday evenings with BUCS fixtures on a Wednesday. A successful candidate will be able to commit to weekly fixtures and training sessions. (Transport can be provided for away fixtures if necessary).

    The Coaching dates for the 2015-2016 Academic Year are as follows:

·Autumn Term: Monday 12th October 2015 – Thursday 10th December 2015
·Spring Term: Monday 11th January 2016 – Thursday 17th March 2016
(These dates are subject to change)

This is a Part Time, self-employed position up until March 2016, with the potential to continue for the following year. Successful coach will be required to work a minimum of 4-5 hours per week during term time.

*To secure this position, candidates must have Professional Indemnity insurance and Public Liability insurance in place (this must be funded by the individuals themselves). In addition, the coach must have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number before agreeing to position and submitting a coaching pack.
