We’re introducing this exciting role as part of the Facilities team accountable for a £150m direct capital programme across the Professional and Recreational game.

YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll be within a Facilities Services Team a team of four people designed to deliver compliance, support services and training, advise on contracts related to construction and management of both the recreational and the professional game facilities
You will have overall responsibility for the relationship and development of a service related to an ECB action plan.
Working closely with an Agronomist, Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Health and Safety Manager you will have responsibility for providing support to ECB staff and the wider Cricket network.
Supporting the Facilities Planning team on strategic project development you will:
o Drive agreed targets in energy management and efficiencies
o Drive cost savings in excess of £1.5m per year
o Develop game wide strategies for water, waste and transport
o Develop and deliver Climate change mitigation and adaption
o ensure financial sustainability is considered for every investment
o review and advise on applications for funding
o comment of proposed works and contracts
o Support calculation of investment payback periods for projects
o Develop reporting for Board/standing committee/operational level to inform decision making
o Undertake due diligence/risk analysis reviews on plans with third parties where appropriate
o Review supply chains and procurement strategies
o Create management systems and training to support the Cricket network
o Analysing the current practices of the organisation and identifying points where sustainability could be improved
YOU’LL HAVE

Qualifications:
o BSc /Masters engineering, business management or a related field
o 7-10 years’ experience in engineering, consulting, and/or business management facilities operations, data centre maintenance, energy management, and sustainability programs
Demonstrable skills in these areas:
o 5 to 7 years minimum experience in managing corporate or stadia estates/premises
o Thorough knowledge/understanding of environmental issues including but not limited to:
 corporate sustainability best practices
 environmental legislation & regulations
 sustainability/carbon reporting
o Excellent analytical skills
o Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
o Experience in integrating tools and processes and leading change in a high tech / IT /software corporate environment
o Proven interpersonal skills and ability to develop trust and influence others including experience in stakeholder engagement
o A practical sense and ability to implement
