Job Description
Sport and physical activity has a key role in the life of a university, for students, staff and the wider community and its positive impact has a tangible and far reaching impact.

The University of Greenwich is committed to ensuring its sport provision delivers at all levels, from participation to elite performance, playing a key role in student recruitment and engagement, delivering socially and commercially and further enhancing the University’s reputation.

Based at our campuses in Greenwich and Avery Hill, you will lead on the strategic development of sport and physical activity, working with key partners and on key projects to implement the University’s Sports Strategy.

Improving competitive performance, increasing wider participation, improving facilities, developing key partnerships and creating opportunities will be among your areas of focus as you work with all areas of the University, its stakeholders and partners.

This is a great opportunity for an extremely capable leader with a background in the sports and physical activity sector. The ability to forge productive relationships at all levels will be key, a detailed understanding of the sector is essential but most important will be the drive and innovative approach to make a real difference.

If you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are highly organised, able to balance a diverse workload and are confident you can deliver in a challenging and demanding role, then we’d love to hear from you!
