Editorial Internship – CE Media – Chelmsford

CE Media is seeking an enthusiastic and talented intern to contribute content to its two leading B2B titles, Elite Business and Elite Franchise.

About us

Elite Business is a national print and online title dedicated to high growth start-ups, small- to medium- sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. Every issue covers up-to-the-minute content and presents a unique angle on the things enterprises need to know, from maximising the potential of mobile to setting the world alight on social media. It also gathers the best and brightest voices in the business community – from Ultimo founder Michelle Mone to tonic tycoons Fever Tree – to share their experiences.

While Elite Business focuses on Britain’s burgeoning start-up scene, Elite Franchise is the definitive title for the UK’s flourishing franchising sector. Packed full of news and features for franchisors and franchisees alike, it offers everything that anybody making the move into franchising could ever need. With former cover stars including the likes of Drain Doctor’s Jan Mitman and Chuck Runyon of Anytime Fitness, there’s inspiration aplenty for aspiring franchise professionals.

The opportunity

With both magazines going from strength-to-strength, we are offering somebody the opportunity to take their first steps in journalism. In addition to keeping both websites updated with relevant and engaging news content, you may also get a chance to write one or two features for the print titles. You will also take on some responsibility for the magazines’ social media accounts, regularly populating them with content from the websites and magazines and provoking a conversation with our target audiences wherever possible.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent journalist with a natural passion for writing, an avid attention to detail and strong communication skills. Previous experience of magazine or online journalism would be advantageous, along with a working knowledge of CMS, InDesign and Photoshop. We would also expect the candidate to have a genuine interest in the British business landscape.

In order to be considered, please send a CV and any examples of published work to adam.pescod@cemedia.co.uk
