Senior Officials Education Officer – British Cycling – Manchester

Job Description

British Cycling is the internationally recognised sports governing body for cycling in the UK with over 100,000 members. Our continued success is built on the successful delivery of results at elite level and a strong focus on developing the grass roots of our sport.

The Role

This exciting position working in our Cycle Sport and Membership Department offers the opportunity to lead the development, planning and delivery of Cycle Sport Education Programmes as part of a wider strategy to support British Cycling’s volunteers and participants at all levels. The role will support the development and delivery of an education programme aimed at increasing the quality and quantity of event officials and volunteers involved in running the sport.
In addition to supporting the network of volunteers and officials, this role will lead the development of educational materials, such as written resources, online learning, workshops and conferences. This position therefore requires a range of skills leadership and project management skills to deliver across a variety of work strands across the cycle sport disciplines.

• Feel passionate about the role education can play in developing cycle sport.
• Have proven ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workloads and achieve deadlines.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the commitment to produce work of a high standard.
• Possess effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
• Possess the ability to work in a demanding environment taking account of changing and competing priorities.
• Have experience of working with volunteers.
