Badminton England is the National Governing Body for badminton in England and has recently won the prestigious BT Sport Industry award of ‘Governing Body of the Year 2015’.

We are dedicated to promoting the sport of badminton by enabling more people to play badminton and giving those with talent the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our vision is to consistently produce Olympic Champions and get the nation playing badminton.

Based at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes, Badminton England is also home to the GB Performance Programme, which has the aim of consistently achieving medals at World and Olympic level.

We are seeking a Participation Manager to join our regional delivery team and play a crucial part in delivering Badminton England’s vision to ‘Grow the Game.’ The largest segment of the badminton market is made up of recreational players and Badminton England is committed to significantly increasing the number of these participants playing regularly.

Participation Managers work across a region, engaging with leisure centres to help them to increase the number of people playing. As part of the Participation Manager team, you will manage key partner accounts, lead on allocated national partnerships and develop and deliver specific allocated projects.

The successful candidate will be based from the Nottingham covering the East Midlands area. The role is an exciting opportunity for someone from either a sports development or leisure facility background with a passion for developing sport.

    The successful candidate will need to:

 Have excellent influencing and communication skills and experience of successful delivery through effective partnership working
 Be highly motivated by achieving and exceeding targets
 Have an understanding of the leisure operator/centre business environment
 Be customer focused to deliver outcomes
 Work flexibly across the region, including some evenings and weekends
