Pitchside Academy First Aider – Derby County Football Club

Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the part time staff at Derby County Academy working as a pitch side first aider.

Successful applicants will be required to cover schoolboy training and games either at the Derby County Training Centre, at Development Centre sites held within the region, or at other Academy training grounds.

    First Aiders will be expected to:

• Work on their own as well as part of a team

• Communicate with the Academy Medical Department as well as respective coaches on player’s current availability during training and games.

• Provide pitch side support during training and games to the Academy schoolboys

• Be punctual and act in a professional and responsible manner at all times whilst representing Derby County Football Club

• Complete report forms for any injuries that they come into contact with.

• Work within their professional boundaries highlighted in their respective first aid/trauma course

• Attend a six weekly CPD evening

    Essential Requirements:
Currently on/or having completed a BSc degree in Sports Therapy/Physiotherapy
Minimum of IFAS Pitch side Qualification

    Desirable Requirements:
Previous pitch side experience
Full Driving Licence

Successful applicants will be expected to attend a Child Protection workshop as well as complete the online DBS check.
