Lead Practitioner for Science – Heartlands High School – Haringey

We wish to appoint for September 2016 a lead teacher with an outstanding track record to our thriving school. Heartlands High School opened as a new school in September 2010 and is now looking forward to its first GCSE results. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher of science with the ability to raise the standards of teaching and learning to ensure outstanding outcomes for students.

The post holder will be responsible for leading coaching and development, ITT, development of schemes of work, research into outstanding practice, school to school support and work with local primary feeders to improve the standards of work on entry.

The successful candidate will be required to be:

Experienced in science teaching with at least four years of outstanding practice in the classroom
Knowledgeable of the latest research and the development of the subject at national level
Passionate about the subject
Prepared to apply and be successful in an application as an SLE
A team player able to work successfully with the Head of Science and others in the department.
