Education Resources Coordinator – British Gymnastics

Job Description
British Gymnastics is the UK Governing Body for gymnastics. We exist to support, lead and inspire all those involved or interested in gymnastics; from the creation of new programmes and activities at grass roots level in the community, to the development of talent producing international gymnasts.

Summary
The overall purpose of this role is to produce quality, innovative learning materials in support of the development of new and existing coach, judge and club education courses, resources, tools and initiatives.

The Role
The main responsibilities of the role are:
• Working on projects as directed by the Education Manager – Resources; in support of the delivery of the department work programme and in line with corporate objectives.
• Working with team managers, attending working groups to support and coordinate their requirements in relation to the development and implementation of assigned projects.
• Support the line manager to develop interactive learning and assessment techniques; exploring and scoping story boards and scripts for video resources, pod-casts etc
• Preparing content for a range of designated elearning modules; managing on a project-by-project basis in line with requirements.
• On behalf of the department and where required, attending cross-functional working groups to provide education or technical input/expertise and/or represent the interests of the department
• Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the development of the Sport and wider education frameworks, in order to ensure project development is in line with current thinking; providing technical input and support to colleagues as required

The Person
The ideal individual will have/be able to demonstrate:
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, for managing and prioritising the work programme, arranging courses and meetings.
• Strong IT skills, confident in using various Microsoft packages for presenting, writing reports, collating data and analysing records in relation to expenditure, cost effectiveness, trends and progress
• Great interpersonal skills for building effective working relationships with various stakeholders across the gymnastics community
• Ideally candidates will have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of gymnastics disciplines, competition rules, regulations, activities and elements.
