Deputy Director of Learning / Teacher of English – John Smeaton Academy – Leeds

We are recruiting a Deputy Director of Learning to be part of our dynamic Teaching and Learning team. You will be an experienced and successful teacher with a good honours degree, QTS, a can-do attitude, and a proven track record of excellence in the classroom, as well as having experience or potential in the field of developing other teachers.

The successful candidate will be working with teachers of all subjects and will play a key role in leading Teaching and Learning across the academy. We invite applications from teachers at all stages of their career with the relevant skills and attributes. This exciting role is highly suited to someone who may have been an Advanced Skills Teacher or on the Excellent Teacher programme.

We teach English Language and English Literature up to A Level, so there is the opportunity for some KS5 teaching for a suitably qualified candidate.
