Studio Manager – Goodwin and Goodwin – London

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a studio manager to join our award winning type and design studio dedicated to making amazing things with type.

Goodwin and Goodwin are an award winning sign and design company based in north London. We make our own range of amazing type based home ware, lights and signs. We work with some fantastic brands like the BBC, MTV, UGGs, Coca-Cola, Hackett, Ted Baker, Fortnum and Mason, but also work with some of London’s top interior designers and design agencies and TV companies.

We are looking for a studio manager that takes great pride in their work and has a passion for design. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible and adaptable, with proven administration and project management skills. Prior experience in a design or a creative environment would be advantageous though not essential, but a passion for design and creativity is desirable. We are fast growing company so there is plenty of career growth for the right person.

What we are looking for:

creative out-going people
ideally have a university degree (or a similar qualification)
a positive can do attitude
excellent organisational and communication skills
accuracy and attention to detail
a calm and professional manner
the ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously
advanced Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint (ideally Mac based)
some Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator skills would be an advantage but not essential
ability to use initiative
tactful and discretion, we deal with some very high profile clients

The role:

diary management
dealing with customer enquiries
producing reports and presentations -arranging client appointments and taking notes
organising and maintaining office systems
stock taking and ordering
greet clients and ensure they are well looked after
standing in for the director in their absence
dealing with accounts and budgets
follow up calls with potential and existing clients
answering the phone answering enquiries with a professional manner
quote for new projects
follow up call and sales calls
taking on project work, such as research and reports
workflow management from initial brief and concept, to execution amends and delivery
managing suppliers
through experience be able to identify, recommend and delivery process improvements and establish reporting systems that will deliver the information needed to hone the teams continued success and efficiency.
HR support

Hours: full time Monday to Friday: 9– 5.30pm
Start date: as soon as possible
Salary: £25k – £30k depending on your experience
You will be working from our studio/workshop in London. Nearest tube Wood Green/Alexandra Palace.
