Production Manager / Senior Product Developer – Michael Anastassiades – London

Michael Anastassiades is a premium UK brand well known for creating contemporary lighting and objects of the highest quality.

The brand has enjoyed tremendous success in the last few years and is in a period of fast growth, both in the UK and internationally. An exceptional opportunity has now arisen for an experienced production manager/senior product developer to join the team and take full responsibility for key processes. The role would suit a candidate who is looking for a chance to develop their careers and broaden their horizons as it also offers the opportunity for career progression – taking on wider commercial responsibility within the organisation as it continues to grow.

The role will be predominantly based in the company’s London studio.

Salary ranging from £45,000 – £55,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Key responsibilities:

managing daily operations, including production
liaising with the sales manager and financial controller to ensure efficient allocation of resource
liaising with design, sales manager and financial controller to ensure optimal mix of products are in the collection
look at the pricing of products and analyse the potential profitability
ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and sales and financial control understand and adhere to contractual obligations; reflecting them accurately
reviewing, scrutinising, and developing operational process flows, working to strategically expand the company’s procedures, standards and policies
offering direction and instruction to the team
oversee or approve commercial agreements and documentation – resolving contractual and commercial problems
work closely with the design team to realise new and often, ground breaking design
source new suppliers especially when new materials and new processes are involved
maintain the original vision of the design through to production without any compromises
drive the volume expansion of the business
travel nationally and internationally as required for the fulfillments of duties, sometimes at short notice

Essential experience and skills:

extensive relevant experience, within the design development industry. Candidates with experience specific to lighting design will be favoured
fluent in English
a good understanding of manufacturing processes including, injection moulding, die casting, casting, CNC machining, laser cutting, blow moulding and glass blowing
advanced capabilities in using Rhino, Solid Works, Excel and Adobe Creative Suite
superior management and organisational skills
ability to collaborate with, and influence stakeholders – the capacity to be influential and amenable
expert negotiating skills
strong decision making skills
outstanding project management expertise
the capacity to meet project deadlines -solid problem solving and analytical capabilities
