Report Analyst/Developer – Morgan Philips UK Limited

Position Summary:
* The role covers the entire range of reporting activities for the Accounts Receivable department (e.g. month end and KPIs reporting)
* The role also requires software development, specifically the creation and automation of new reports
* The successful candidate will be comfortable working and delivering in a fast paced, customer centric environment across a diverse region, with multiple languages, entities and local governmental requirements
* This position interacts with various levels of personnel, both inside and outside the company, across the globe, and therefore requires good communication skills and judgement, tact and diplomacy in troubleshooting problems and communicating status
* The role also has an important emphasis on supporting the AR management team with suggesting ideas based on technical knowledge and putting into practice improvements/reports to increase the overall team productivity

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end reporting activities and planning for the AR department
* Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc analysis for internal audiences as well as upper management (month end close reporting, Bad Debt calculation, etc.)
* Support monthly accounting processes with relevant reports and statistical analysis
* Prepare and update reports to track metrics and performance
* Deliver timely and accurately all AR reports
* Compile and submit ideas for implementation of processes based on technical knowledge
* Support software/ERP testing or development project activities for multiple sites across all project phases (including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure)
* Liaise with IT around software development, including logging and following up on raised IT tickets
* Work collaboratively with development team, programmer and the project manager to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation
* Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritisation and resource allocation with input from team members
* Participate in other special projects as assigned
* Maintain all implementation processes and coordinate documentation when needed
* Facilitate delivery of project objectives
* Provide ongoing project plan/status reporting for use by management
* Coach and train project team members on Software Development processes and best practices
* Ensure the performance of all tasks is carried out in line with company policies, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
* Support with investigation and resolution of AR team excel issues

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* Programming skills: Python, SQL or PowerBI
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
* Demonstrated organisational and analytical skills

Skills Required:
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a high attention to detail
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
* Experience of gathering and documenting requirements (detailed or high level), or working with this documentation as a developer / programmer / system architect
* A self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
* Experience in validating and prioritizing requirements
* Basic understanding of Accounting Principles
* Working knowledge of ERPs (Oracle, SAP) is a plus
* Project management skills may be advantageous
