Front of House / Studio Assistant – StudioXAG – London

StudioXAG specialises in art direction, design and fabrication for retail environments. With projects ranging from show-stopping bespoke installations to concept shop-fits and global window roll-outs, we take pride in executing work to the highest standard with a keen eye for the small details.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and confident front of house/studio assistant to join our team of 10-12 full time employees. This person will be a go-to member for the broader team and an asset to the organisation of the studio and the jobs we carry out. The successful candidate will work closely with the studio manager.

The role’s duties will include:

covering all aspects of reception; screening phones calls and enquiries, taking daily post/ deliveries and arranging couriers, greeting all visitors
setting up meeting rooms for occasional meetings and visitors
taking responsibility for the upkeep of the front/client facing areas of the studio
reporting any IT problems to our IT contractor, checking stationery supplies
PA support for the two directors to include: scheduling and managing diaries, booking travel, correspondence
HR duties including recruitment, inductions, contracts, leave, staff social events
scheduling workshop staff and booking freelance staff
finance assistant: assisting the bookkeeper and accountant: making purchases, raising sales invoices and chasing late payments of invoices, petty cash and staff expenses

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working front of house in a creative environment.

Requirements:

minimum of one year previous administrative experience (preferably in a design environment)
friendly, positive and professional approach
interest in working in a creative fast paced environment
excellent interpersonal skills
ability to work under pressure
interest in problem solving and creating solutions for a smooth running studio
a self motivated, positive attitude to the workplace
excellent written English and spoken communication skills
competent using Word, Excel etc
knowledge of social media channels
knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop would be a bonus

This is a full time position with immediate start based in east London. Salary: competitive, please state expectations
