Contributing to the Department’s focus on raising attainment and improving student progress across the whole ability range, we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head of English. With a collaborative approach, and drawing on your current thinking and excellent practice, you will be supported by the Head of Department as you lead on the development of Teaching and Learning strategies.

As an outstanding teacher able to demonstrate evidence of securing outstanding outcomes for your students, you will be committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning in lesson planning, delivery and assessment of students’ work. You will have the ability to effectively coach colleagues in developing their practice to a high standard and be committed to the MCA ethos of high standards and excellence for all students. Your passion for developing innovative teaching and learning strategies capable of engaging all students and your ambition to support, challenge and extend the learning opportunities for all students will allow student to develop a love of English.
