The applicant will be an enthusiastic and driven graduate to work alongside a team of editors in our content team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in writing engaging copy for print and web with strong editorial skills, preferably with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.

If you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a keen eye for detail, a high level of autonomy, good knowledge of web writing and publishing and a proven track record in a media environment, you might be just what we’re looking for.

This post offers the right candidate the opportunity to work as part of a successful team and be responsible for a wide range of tasks that will focus on engaging users and generating revenue. Responsibilities include:

Experience of managing both print and online projects from conception to completion
Ability to write concise and engaging copy for web, digital and print publications
Regularly review and re-write content where required to make it fresh and up-to-date
Research and information gathering skills
Excellent subbing and proofing skills
Use of web publishing tools to publish timely copy
Use of social media tools to engage with users
Image and video editing
Use of web analytics tools

Accepted degree subjects

A degree in journalism or English is preferable. Other relevant degree subjects will be considered if evidence of previous writing experience can be demonstrated.
