Head of Geography – Richard Hale School – Hertfordshire

Due to the existing Head of Department moving onto Assistant Headship, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of Geography to lead this high performing department. Geography is a popular option subject at both GCSE and Advanced Level and examination results are consistently outstanding. Last year 55% of pupils gained A*-A and 88% achieved A*-C at GCSE; 65% of students achieved A*-B at AS level and 92% A*-C at A2.

Richard Hale is currently in the top 100 non-selective state funded schools in England both for achievement and for progress at GCSE. Located in the centre of the county town of Hertford, it is an oversubscribed, 11-18 boys’ school with an expanding co-educational Sixth Form. It has an impressive reputation for achievement both academically and in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
