Conference & Incentive Travel (C&IT) is looking for a news editor to join our award-winning editorial team and head up news output for the brand across multiple channels.
In your first year in the role, you will have the opportunity to report live from Frankfurt, Barcelona and other international destinations, check out hot new hotel and venue openings, and contribute to our flagship award-winning report on the UK events industry.
The right candidate must be an experienced journalist with the ability to quickly deliver stories for the web and with a strong understanding of, and passion for, social media and new digital channels.
Core responsibilities will include reporting on this dynamic and vibrant industry; regularly bringing in exclusive stories; overseeing news coverage across the brand; producing in-depth features and analysis; editing news content; and reporting live to camera.
This is a multimedia role and the successful candidate will work across the website, print products and live events. It will involve regular overseas travel and attendance at trade shows and evening events.
Additional responsibilities will include judging C&IT’s annual awards, monitoring web analytics and optimising content to drive traffic growth, while ensuring the highest quality news content.
The news editor will report to the brand’s associate editor.
