Child Welfare Officer – St Bede’s RC High School – Blackburn with Darwen

Grade F, full year £22,212 to £25,440, Pro rata salary £20,059 to £22,974
Hours per week 37, Term time plus 2 weeks

To help support the Pupils of the school a new role has been created. The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, supportive and committed Child Welfare Officer to this exciting new opportunity.

Reporting into an Assistant Head and working closely with the dedicated Pastoral team in school you will have responsibility to ensure that pupils remain safe. This is achieved by liaising with Social Services, Education Welfare Officers and other relevant organisations.

Your usual hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 4.15pm and Friday 8.15am to 3.45pm. However, due to the nature of the role your hours will need to be flexible to ensure you can attend any relevant meetings with Parents, CAF etc. which may often be outside of your core hours with no prior notice.

It is essential that the successful candidate has had previous experience of CAF and be able to demonstrate their ability to establish positive relationships.
