Teacher of History – The Chase – Worcestershire

The Chase is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to teach History throughout KS3, KS4 and KS5.

You will be joining a successful and supportive team, housed in superb purpose built accommodation. Both KS4 and KS5 examination results are significantly above national expectations in terms of both progress and attainment.

The Chase is a very popular and successful school, creating a future as illustrious as its past under a new leadership team. A Level results are amongst the highest in the region (average point score 899 compared to the national average of 717) and GCSE results were the third best in the county (74% 5A*-C with English and Maths).

The school serves a highly educated and economically stable community, with a small pocket of deprivation. The expectation is that each student who attends the school wishes to progress to university or high quality apprenticeship training. Our students are aspirational, resilient and mature.

The school expects a high level of professional excellence from its teachers and all new staff are required to attend our extremely effective Masterclass CPD course to ensure that teaching within the school is at least always ‘Good’ and usually ‘Outstanding’. Excellence within the classroom is sustained through collegial challenge and collegial support, with the sharing of practice expected of all.

Closing date for applications is Friday 5th June.

Application packs can be downloaded from the school’s website www.chase.worcs.sch.uk, or for further information contact Ms Leena Batchelor, P.A. to the Headteacher, by phone (01684 891961) or by email lbatchelor@chase.worcs.sch.uk.
