Job Description
To lead nationally for Athletics on the design, i9mplementation and delivery of high level physical preparation support services for the sportscotland institute of sport that effectively optimise the achievement of the stated performance outcomes.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Design and implement, in partnership with sport coaches and other service providers, high quality and specialized physical preparation programs including, but not limited to, strength and power enhancement, speed enhancement, agility and movement skills refinement, endurance capacity increases and injury prevention/rehabilitation.

Ensure high level rehabilitation programming, delivery and development.

Support assigned programs in all aspects of physical preparation and monitoring during national camps and competition as requested.

Establish and implement a culture of continuous improvement by constructively challenging the relevant head coach to develop appropriate strategies to achieve objectives of continued athlete development and performance.

Ensure the effective operation of the sports physical preparation service via a system leadership role in partnership with assigned institute staff.

In partnership with the Sports Head Coach, manage all areas of service provision within the physical preparation team.

Facilitate resolution and conflict management to any issues impacting on athlete enhancement.

Liaise and co-ordinate frequently with other service providers and coaches to ensure effective and efficient service delivery within each sport program.

Design and deliver high quality educational resources for internal and external clients.

Work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organization, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to lead and deliver high quality business outcomes.

Assist in the delivery of quality advice and reporting on relevant issues to senior management.

Support the Regional manager in areas of facility management and developing/mentoring the coaching team in assigned region.
