Job Description
Ministry of Football is an indoor, game-based, football skill-development programme for primary-school aged children. We teach over 100 children of all abilities each week in intense one-hour sessions.
We currently operate in Muswell Hill (N10) on Sunday afternoons from 4pm to 8pm.
We run excellent sessions, and are looking for experienced and high-quality coaches who are able to:
– Plan & deliver game-based football sessions with specific and appropriate learning outcomes and with very little ‘standing still time’ or ‘teacher talking time’.
– Develop rapport with children aged 5 to 11 and their parents and families, and are effective working with any ability levels within this age range.
Coaches will also need the following in order to be considered:
1. Live close to N10, and ideally have a car.
2. Willing and able to work for 2 hours between 4pm and 8pm most Sundays. Pay is £15-£20 per hour session.
3. Have successful and recent experience delivering skill sessions to ages 5-11. The ideal coach would have completed the FA Youth Modules 1 and 2.
If you apply and do not fit the criteria, we will not get back to you, sorry. But if you do and we wish to meet you, then the next step will be to come and watch one of our Sundays in action. Following that there may be a chance to put on a trial session or work with one of our coaches for a week or two.
Successful coaches can expect to be paid on-time each week, work with a great team of innovative, open-minded and ‘learn-hungry’ teachers, access our regular coach development sessions, and have immense satisfaction being part of a very joyful, local footy programme.
