We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and motivated teacher of Science to join our extremely successful Science Department. The ability to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 is essential and the ability to teach at A level would be an advantage. The post is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers.

Weatherhead High School is an extremely successful school. In our OFSTED inspection, December 2012, we were judged as outstanding in every area. The report noted that “students make outstanding progress whatever their starting point or circumstances and the standards they achieve are significantly above national averages”.

Weatherhead is a high performing academy with exceptional resources. The Science department is equipped with 13 laboratories and has an excellent range of resources available to support and enrich Teaching and Learning. The school is oversubscribed with a year group intake of 264 students and 380 in our mixed 6th Form.
