Project Architect – Studio Mackereth Ltd – London

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced qualified architect to join our London based studio to take a lead role on a prestigious new mixed-use gallery and residential development in Central London.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in all stages of the project, from concept design through to delivery on this and future projects within the office. The position will provide an excellent opportunity for career development and experience as an integral part of the design team.

About you:
Potential candidates should have a positive attitude, be well organised and able to manage deadlines and workloads efficiently with at least three years’ relevant experience post Part-III working in the UK. Proven experience of project co-ordination, managing and delivering projects on site is essential.

Successful candidates should also demonstrate:
excellent CAD drawing skills, with specific experience in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp preferred
excellent detailed design drawings for construction and robust details
experience of specification writing essential (National Building Specification preferred)
comprehensive knowledge of UK building legislation, relevant design guides and standards
good three dimensional presentation skills, to include computer renderings, hand drawings and model making
excellent verbal and written communication skills
experience in high quality residential projects, in addition some experience in commercial/gallery/exhibition projects preferred

About us:
Studio Mackereth is a new London based practice of architects and designers founded by award winning architect Sally Mackereth. Our varied projects comprise both architecture and interior design, across a number of sectors including private and speculative residential, high-end retail and commercial projects of various scales.

Positions offered are on a full-time contract, with a three month probation period.
Interviews will begin immediately, with a view to successful candidates employment commencing following service of any contractual notice periods.

Salary is commensurate with experience subject to RIBA guidelines.
