Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET), the charitable arm of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, is seeking to fill the role of Activity Programme Manager based at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers FC.

WWSET is a thriving charity that exists to educate, motivate, and inspire using the power of sport, and the brand of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a talented team that are dedicated to engaging with as many people as possible in and around the Wycombe area, with the aim of improving levels of health, social inclusion, education, and sports participation for the good of the community as a whole.

The Activity Programme Manager is an integral role within WWSET and the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete management and delivery of numerous activities including, but not limited to: after school clubs, PPA and in-school coaching, Saturday sessions, holiday courses, birthday parties, mascots, various match day activities, Football League school sports programme, female football development programme, and coach recruitment.

WWSET recognise that employing talented and dedicated staff is critical if we are to continue increasing our range of activities, growing our strong reputation, and maximising the positive impact we have within Wycombe and its surrounding areas.

Whilst a background and interest in sports/community coaching is essential, the role is predominantly office based and one in which business, marketing, and relationship building skills will be of primary importance. In addition to this, and due to the varied and challenging nature of the role, it’s imperative that the post holder is driven, adaptable, innovative, efficient, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Job Purpose
To oversee the daily operations of WWSET’s Activity Programme ensuring efficiency of operating procedures, whilst at the same time initiating strategies to grow and develop the activities and services being offered by the department.
Remuneration
Up to £25,000 per annum plus benefits and pension depending on skills/experience

    Role Accountabilities & Key Duties
1 – Efficiently manage the day-to-day running of the WWSET Activity Programme
2 – Plan, organise and deliver community events and activities
3 – Plan, organise and deliver a well-constructed marketing strategy in order to increase the awareness and popularity of WWSET’s Activity Programme
4 – Continually manage and update the WWSET website
5 – Continual management and utilisation of the WWSET online booking system
6 – Conduct regular reviews of all current Activity Programme business operations and recommend improvements
7 – Effectively manage the advertising, booking, and delivery of WWSET run match day activities (mascots/birthday parties/ticketing initiatives/guard of honour package)
8 – Recruit and manage all coaching staff within the Activity Programme
9 – Manage all activities in accordance with the financial targets set out in the Activity Programme budget
10 – Act as an ambassador for WWSET and Wycombe Wanderers Football Club
11 – Identify and develop opportunities to create operating growth for WWSET
12 – Identify and develop relationships that will benefit both WWSET and the local community
13 – Attend training courses and continuing professional development sessions as and when required
14 – Assist in ensuring WWSET complies with all relevant health and safety, legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirement policies
15 – Promote all match days and deliver ticket initiatives within schools
16 – Liaise with relevant WWFC staff to maximise the frequency and impact of player appearances

    Qualifications/Experience
    Essential
17 – Minimum FA Level 2 Football Coaching (along with valid FA Safeguarding & FA First Aid certificates)
18 – An Enhanced FA Criminal Records Check (to be carried out by WWSET prior to commencement in post)
19 – Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues
20 – Excellent Microsoft Office skills
21 – Excellent organisational skills and experience of managing high work load
22 – Experience of planning and delivering football or multi-sports coaching sessions
23 – Experience working with or in schools
24 – Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
25 – Outstanding customer service skills
26 – Ability to work without constant supervision
27 – A willingness to work outside the normal 9am-5pm office hours on occasions, including some evenings and weekends to accommodate business needs

Desirable
