Trainee reporter – Journalism – England

We are looking for a focused reporter who has passed their NCTJ preliminary exams to work on Police Oracle while carrying out administration tasks and social media duties.
We will also support you in working towards your NQJ.
While under-going training, our new recruit will be expected to carry out admin tasks which include compiling and sending out newsletters to readers and updating Police Oracle’s Facebook page.
An English Language degree or extensive work experience with regional newspapers or other forms of media will therefore be an advantage but is not essential.
A good understanding of the burning issues within the police and justice world are a must, while an interest in home affairs is desirable.
The successful candidate will also understand the importance of social media in terms of researching

articles and promoting their own work.
We want a self-starter who can work on their own, or as part of a small but dedicated team.
