The Company
RT Software is a developer and provider of graphics products to the broadcast and Sports Professional industry. Founded by former BBC developers in 2003, we have over 20 years experience in the business. We are involved in leading edge graphics development with mainstream broadcasters from around the world as well as providing telestration products to Elite Professional Sports Clubs and National Federations.
What defines us is our ability to add graphics to video clips to highlight action or explain gameplay. Our products for the sports professional market have evolved from the original top-end analysis tools, used on-air, to encompass much easier to use analysis tools. We are proud to have worked alongside some of the biggest names in the professional sports world to create these tools.
In the last 36 months we have developed our Tactic suite of products: Lite, Advanced and Pro, to cater to the needs of every level of coaching and performance analysis from amateur to the highest professional level. Today, more than 150 Clubs and National Federations around the world use our products.

Overview
The role of Tactic Product Specialist at RT Software focuses mainly on the provision of pre-sales support to our sales team in the form of demos as well as facilitating client onboarding providing training and 1st line support to new and existing customers.

About You
The Sports Professional industry is a ‘Live’ environment. As such deadlines are immovable. You need to be disciplined, have an attention to detail and be agile under pressure. You should be able to work alone or within a team and willing to learn new skills.
You should have a genuine interest in all technical aspects of telestration and workflows used by analysts and coaches to prepare pre and post-match presentations. Experience with telestration and/or match tagging tools (ie. Sportscode, Nacsport, etc.) would be a requirement.
You will also be involved in liaising with the support department to solve on-site technical issues and resolve bugs remotely, through site visits or at your desk.
When Covid-19 allows, the job will involve some travel world wide as well as in the UK.

Responsible to:
Manager, Sports Professional Market
Liaise with:
Sales team to ensure good progress of demos and trials
Support team to ensure a smooth handover of Tactic to new customers as well as version upgrades to existing customers
Development team for bug fixing and general enhancements/feature requests
Graphics team for bug fixing, graphic enhancements/feature requests

Main Tasks of Job
Client onboarding. Ensure newly acquired clients first weeks of Tactic use proceed in a smooth manner.
Provide training and demos internally and externally on newly developed technologies and software.
Provide support to the Sales team for pre sales technical questions.
Have an understanding of the industry Tactic operates in, its competitors products and how their products compare to Tactic. Use this knowledge to help ensure RT Software’s products remain relevant and leading edge.
Collect feedback from users and trialists about useful feature/graphic requests and market trends. Liaise with the Technical Product Manager to get these requests implemented in the software.
Coordinate the production of documentation and video tutorials for Tactic SP products. Assist in the production of User Tips and Tutorial Videos.
Implement and coordinate a testing protocol for Tactic SP products and new releases. Report findings and bugs back to the development/graphic departments and follow up on further tests needed for the fixes.
Research new technologies to enable RTSoftware to maintain its leading edge within its industry.
To present a professional image to customers at all times in appearance, attitude and work.
Inform the relevant staff/departments when problems arise that are likely to cause immediate on-site related issues or when they are likely to affect project time-scales.
Attend regular Company meetings.
Provide reasonable out of hours on-site support under RT Software’s general employment rules.
Provide scheduled out of hours telephone support coverage as part of the companies out of hours support rota.

Education
At least a Degree level in Sports Science or Sports/Performance Analysis. Ideally involving telestration, match tagging and pre/post match analysis workflows in general.
Experience/Required Skills
We have a set of ‘core’ skill requirements which you MUST possess and then a set of additional skills that you should have some experience, at a professional level.

Core Experience and Skills:
At least two years experience in the Elite Sports Professional environment.
High user level on Mac OS products.
Knowledge of telestration tools.
Knowledge of match tagging products such as Sportscode, Nacsport, Focus, etc.
In depth knowledge of Pre and Post Match analysis workflows.
Advantageous:
Fluent in Spanish, German or French language.
Medium user level knowledge of Windows OS products.
A good network of existing contacts within analysts and coaches in the SP industry.
