Purpose of role

To take full responsibility for the online content of key brands, which include Premier Christianity (online) and Premier.org.uk. Working closely with the Senior Digital Editor to develop and deliver the content strategy for those brands, along with ad-hoc improvements to the site as those brands grow in depth and creativity. Work with the Senior Digital Editor to ensure that all content is created and distributed in both quality and quantity. Curate new content to a very high standard. Provide lead for content e-sends across the group, along with other marketing collateral that helps grow key brands.

Key tasks

Work with the Senior Digital Editor, Director of Content and Director of Marketing & Digital on the content email strategy.
Produce weekly e-sends – featuring the best of Premier’s content across the board.
Liaise with internal and external contributors to acquire and curate quality content (including video) to publish across key brands
Liaise with internal brand stakeholders on how their brands are represented online
Edit content and upload content via the content management system
Work with the Senior Digital Editor to create and deliver a digital content strategy for the brands you are responsible for
Monitor analytics to respond accordingly to trends online, including making effective editorial decisions
Work with other members of the digital team and the marketing team to maximize exposure for digital content, especially across brands
Post content to social media platforms and interact on behalf of your brands
Creation of content led emails, devotionals and newsletters

Qualifications and experience

Copy writing and editing to a very high standard
Creative writing, with a strong eye for telling a story
Disseminating media across a variety of platforms
Experience at producing video an advantage
A journalistic qualification or training is an advantage
Ability to manage and effectively prioritise a varied job list
Strong experience of using content management systems
Strong experience of creating email newsletters

As you will be creating and publishing content with a Christian theme and advocacy, the ideal candidate would have a Christian faith from which to make key editorial decisions, including helping to steer their brands in a direction which supports the mission statement of the wider organization (A genuine Occupational Requirement under the Employment Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulation 2003 applies).
