Research and Programme Officer – Chance to Shine –

Job Description
A great opportunity to make an impact in a national children’s charity.
Chance to Shine is a national children’s charity. Each year, we give over half a million children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket in schools and disadvantaged communities.
We’re looking for a Research and Programme Officer to help understand the impact of our programmes and monitor their delivery.
In a time where only one in five children are considered physically active, and many drop out of sport as they get older, we are proud of the difference we have made to improve children’s attitudes towards sport. We have seen how cricket can engage children in a team activity and develop personal, social and mental wellbeing.

The role
Working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, the role will involve carrying out research with children, young people, teachers and schools. It will involve working with large sets of monitoring data and will support the Operations team to deliver elements of our programmes.
We are seeking someone who is analytical, organised and passionate about the aims of the charity. It does not require an understanding of cricket but does require and interest in supporting children and young people to develop life skills through sport.
Fixed term contract until 31st March 2021.
