Design Manager – Waste to Energy
An opportunity for an experienced design professional to take the lead on exciting projects in the Energy from Waste sector, with an international leader in in the design, engineering and construction of major complex projects.

The role
A well-established international EPC business is looking for a Project Manager to manage the design of a £100m new build Energy from Waste facility during the construction phase of the project.
You will be responsible for overseeing the design and package management during the construction and commissioning phases, reporting to the Project Director.
The plant has a significant amount of mechanical equipment within it, and as such a mechanical engineering background is a preference.
This position can be offered on a 12-month renewable contract, or alternatively a permanent position can be offered, with a substantial pipeline of future projects in the UK.
To be considered;
Degree qualified in a relevant degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Process preferred)
Significant project management experience, specifically managing the design during the construction and commissioning phases
Experience in Project Management design, construction and commissioning elements of industrial process plants
Project Management qualification highly desirable (PRINCE2, APM etc.)
Examples of successfully delivering the design on a live construction site
In return, our client offers, if taken as permanent position, a basic salary between £60,000-£80,000 (dependent on experience) plus package. This role is also offered as a contract position on a rate up between £400-500 per day (dependent on experience).
