Further information

CHINESE-SPEAKING SUB-EDITOR REQUIRED FOR
SHORT-TERM CONDÉ NAST TRAVELLER EDITORIAL PROJECT, BASED IN CENTRAL LONDON

(Start date is 30 March)

An experienced magazine sub-editor is required for a six-week project working on a Condé Nast Traveller publication for the Chinese market. The position involves working closely with the editorial team in our central London office (working remotely is not possible), using InDesign and InCopy. The copy will have already been translated from English into Simplified Chinese. As well as subbing on layout, the sub-editor will need to check cromalin-proofs and create headlines and sells. Due to the editorial and cultural intricacies of the project, a native Chinese speaker is required. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of editing publications in Simplified Chinese, a good grasp of the English language and idioms, and up-to-date awareness of cultural trends and icons in mainland China. A valid UK work visa is essential.
