Wolves RTC Lead Physiotherapist – Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation

Job Description
To use their knowledge and skills to treat sporting injuries, advise on injury prevention and support rehabilitation, using a range of physical techniques and therapies.

Key Responsibilities
• To have multi-disciplinary communication to ensure the wellbeing and holistic development of the elite female players
• To be an advocate for the WOLVES Way, promoting the football club at every opportunity
• To help prepare the players mentally and physically for activity
• To administer emergency first aid
• To make professional decisions on players ability to continue to train/ play
• To administer treatment for minor injuries such as bruises, strains & blisters
• To design appropriate rehabilitation programmes
• To ensure comprehensive medical records are keep safe & secure
• To ensure confidentiality is adhered too
• To attend all training sessions and matchdays
• To attend any CPD/ Staff meeting arranged by Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation
• To keep professional knowledge up to date

General responsibilities

• Compliance with Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation safeguarding policies
• To maintain professional conduct at all times
Safeguarding
• This role involves working with children and/ or vulnerable adults in a Regulated Activity (or in close proximity to children and/or vulnerable adults). This means the post holder is required to apply all relevant policies and uphold the Club’s commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people.

Qualifications
Essential
• BCs in Physiotherapy
• Member of the chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCPS) and registered in health & care professions council (HCPC)
• FA Pitch side first aid qualification
• Full UK driving license & car

Desirable
• Degree in relevant discipline
• Additional Medical qualifications
