Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager – SOS Children – Cambridge, South East England

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for the delivery of an energetic corporate fundraising strategy to support the organisation’s five year growth strategy and beyond. The team are currently responsible for raising over £1m and have a portfolio that includes a number of well known corporates supporting our work.

With responsibility for securing new corporate partnerships and account managing a number of existing corporate partners the successful candidate will be an experienced, talented and highly motivated corporate fundraiser with a passion for using their marketing skills and experience to help build better lives for orphans and vulnerable children.

With a keen understanding of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how companies might interlink with our vision and mission, you will use your outstanding written and verbal communication skills to design and deliver persuasive proposals, applications and creative presentations that both excite and reassure companies to support SOS Children’s Villages UK.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of corporate account management and the experience and skills to lead on a range of partnerships across our corporate fundraising income streams to ensure that targets are achieved. You must demonstrate a passion for the work of SOS Children’s Villages UK.

The role of Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager will therefore suit someone who embraces a proactive and transformational role to management.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Fundraising in developing and delivering the corporate fundraising strategy for the organisation.
Manage the performance and professional development of direct reports (currently 1-2) in Corporate team
Managing relationships with our key partners to deliver excellent customer service to maximize income and secure longevity of relationships.
Create and augment a fundraising product portfolio that aligns funding needs with Corporate Donor objectives.
Identify opportunities to raise unrestricted income.
Work with the Director of Fundraising and corporate team to develop and implement the SOS brand experience for our corporate audience.
Develop the corporate prospect pipeline to generate new income generating partnerships
Create relevant, professional and inspiring applications, proposals and presentations for pitches for potential corporate partners.
Ensure that cause related marketing aspects of partnerships and campaigns are consistent with the charity’s ethical policy and values, legal guidelines and industry best practice.
Build networks with key decision makers and influencers within existing and potential corporate partners to strengthen relationships and build long term partnerships.
Forecast and manage corporate partner income and expenditure budgets, ensuring records are maintained and updated (accurately and consistently) to enable income reporting and analysis of activity.
Ensure donor data on our CRM system is accurate and that the system is both configured appropriately and has the functionality to enable an effective corporate relationship management programme.
Develop and implement a consistent monitoring, evaluation and reviewing process for corporate partner relationships

Person Specification

Essential

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification with experience.
Demonstrable evidence of success in gaining significant partnerships in a customer focused environment such as fundraising, client management, sales or marketing.
Track record of securing local and national corporate partnerships including those worth £50k+
Experience of working with a CRM system to manage corporate relationships.
Evidence of ability to conduct research producing market insights that informs creative and persuasive partnership proposals and/or marketing strategies.
Knowledge of charity fundraising and/or corporate social responsibility trends and emerging opportunities.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to engage effectively with people at all levels. Competent at leading external pitches and high level meetings.
Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
A positive ‘can do’ and solution orientated attitude
Excellent organisational skills; the ability to manage a large number of tasks concurrently.
Willing and able to travel within the UK and occasional trips abroad
UK driving licence
Able to undertake occasional working at weekends and the evenings to fit in with corporate meetings and events when required.
