Run Scotland Event Coordinator – Run Nation Events Ltd

Job Description
The Run Scotland Event Coordinator will:
1. With specific local knowledge – Identify new running events/venues in a specific area.
2. Secure access and permission to use routes identified either through applying for road closures or through permission from land owners.
3. Work closely with Run Nation in applying for a Run Britain license and meeting all the criteria set out by Run Britain (England and Wales) and/or Scottish Athletics (in Scotland).
4. Prepare routes and contact course measurers to measure routes with accurate course maps and distance markers plotted for the race.
5. Recruit and communicate with race crew – marshals, first aid and other event staff that have been recruited for the event.
6. Prepare event plan (including Risk Assessments and Medical Plans for event – using Run Nation templates provided).
7. Identify and provide Run Nation with a suitable marketing plan for the event (using Run Nation templates provided).
8. On the day of the event (or in the appropriate timescale), set up the course, start/finish areas, course signage, traffic management (where required), race HQ, medical provision, awards presentation, PA systems (if used), marshals briefing (all of these jobs can be delegated to members of the event team in the Event Plan).
9. Review the success of the events and make appropriate improvements/changes when required.
10. Represent Run Nation/Scotland in a positive way which promotes the events Run Nation/Scotland are involved in.
11. Attend Run Nation team meetings when required
12. Other duties agreed with Run Nation line manager
