Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Rugby Hub Officer for our Llanidloes Community Rugby program. This is an exciting appointment which will be a great opportunity to develop your rugby coaching/teaching experience in a full time and supportive environment.

This role will involve targeted coaching contributing to the growth and development of player numbers in the primary and high school within the Llanidloes community. Promoting, engaging and supporting their transition into clubs will also be a key component of this role. Your inclusive approach and focus will vary between holistic health promotion, physical literacy development and all forms of rugby as well as significantly contributing to a number of exciting legacy initiatives within the program.

The Hub Officer will also play an active role in supporting teachers and others in increasing their knowledge of, and confidence to deliver, the game. Building strong relationships with local rugby clubs you will help to strengthen their capacity and performance through the delivery of high quality coaching with targeted groups of players in schools, through the provision of mentoring/support to voluntary club coaches. You will be expected to deliver the WRU Leaders award by identifying and training potential coaches.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience of coaching rugby union to young people and adults in a range of environments and also be committed and able to work regular weekend and evening hours to meet the needs of both clubs and schools. You must also hold a minimum of WRU Level 2 coaching qualification (or willingness to work towards Level 2), with the ability to speak Welsh and first aid qualification as desirable.

You will also be able to communicate effectively and to present a highly professional image when representing Llanidloes High School and the WRU; establish positive working relationships with voluntary and professional staff in clubs, schools, colleges and universities and balance a determined application of the role with a sense of fun and enjoyment to motivate yourself and others.

Please be advised that a current, full driving license is required for the post and also a DBS enhanced disclosure process applies. The post holder will be expected to cover the Llanidloes area in Mid Wales, and would ideally live in or be willing to relocate to the area.
