Job Description
An opportunity has arisen at Sheffield Hallam University Physiotherapy Clinic for the position stated above. This position is part time to enable the successful candidates to undertake Masters Level study alongside this post. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chartered Physiotherapist with musculoskeletal and sports injury management experience to develop their clinical skills in conjunction with completing an MSc at Sheffield Hallam University.
The successful candidate will be required to hold a UK recognised physiotherapy qualification and be HCPC registered.
The successful candidate will deliver physiotherapy services to TASS athletes and Performance Sports Scholarship athletes at Sheffield Hallam University, alongside the Lead Physiotherapist. This role will include injury screening and implementation of prehabilitation strategies in addition to injury management and rehabilitation of athletes across a range of sporting disciplines. There will also be opportunity to treat non-performance athletes in the clinic, and work closely with Strength and Conditioning Team based at the University.
We are looking to appoint motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapists who can demonstrate an ability to work as autonomous practitioners, but also have the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Good communication skills are essential for this post to facilitate effective working relationships between the Physiotherapy Clinic, Regional and National TASS networks and the University. Additionally, the successful candidates must have flexibility to work some evenings or weekends, which may include travel nationally and internationally with individual sports. Clinical hours will be delivered over 2-3 days each week (approx. 20 hours per week) and may include weekend or evening work.
We are committed to CPD, and it is expected that the successful candidates will have achieved or be working towards ACPSEM Bronze Award prior to commencing employment and we will provide mentorship to support development within the ACPSEM pathway over the duration of the post holding.
MSc course fees will be fully funded and a £22,500 bursary will be provided to support the successful candidate with their studentship role (£10,000 Year 1 and £12,500 Year 2).
