ROLE SUMMARY
This role will provide the delivery and development of Performance Lifestyle support to world class programme athletes complimenting the objectives of Archery GB and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
As a member of the Performance Lifestyle team at the EIS you will contribute to knowledge development, aggregation and sharing across the organisation to support the development of world class Performance Lifestyle services and practice.
All Performance Lifestyle practitioners, as with any other EIS practitioners, are expected to work within the HCSI Professional Code of practice to ensure the highest standards of practice are met at all times.

PERFORMANCE LIFESTYLE DELIVERY PRINCIPLES
As a Performance Lifestyle Advisor for Archery GB you will work with the Performance Lifestyle Technical Lead and the Archery GB Head of Performance Support to set objectives, aimed at providing and developing the best Performance Lifestyle support possible.
Performance Lifestyle works with a person first approach, to provide an individual service to funded World Class Programme (WCP) athletes that centres upon:
Delivering and developing the Archery GB PL Strategy that supports the personal and professional development needs of all athletes on the WCP in line with WITTW approach for the sport.
Strategically leading the PL service across Archery GB including support to the Paralympic Squad, Olympic Squad and Olympic ambitions squad, liaising closely with the Head of Paralympic Performance, the Director of Sport and Olympic Team Manager.
Proactively engaging athletes in future life planning and career development, with the emphasis on early intervention and continued personal and professional development throughout their time on the WCP.
• Encouraging and facilitating dual career aspirations with effective management of the balance between sporting and non-sporting commitments including effective liaison with universities to ensure the appropriate level of support for the athlete, thereby protecting performance.
• Promoting the importance and impact of athletes creating and developing broader identities and interests beyond their sport in maintaining personal well-being.
Working as sport lead for Games time preparation of Nearest and Dearest in collaboration with the BOA, BPA and Archery GB.
Delivering games education sessions and individual athlete support following team selection in order to maximise performance potential and protect wellbeing.
Providing support and education around finding and managing the optimal personal balance for conflicting demands e.g. from education, employment, family, financial etc. to protect performance potential.
• Supporting athletes from a lifestyle perspective as they transition on to, through and from the WCP.
• Providing proactive exit support for athletes leaving the WCP for up to 6months after funding cessation.
Providing a safe, impartial and where appropriate confidential space to support athletes – sign posting and referring onward as appropriate to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the athlete.
Working in partnership with athletes and high-performance stakeholders to support and encourage a culture that delivers performance and responsibly cares for its people.
Working as part of the wellbeing team to support the delivery of the MH Strategy with a focus on education and awareness to athletes and staff on the WCP.
Ensuring the Archery GB performance planning process engages with a holistic and whole person approach to athlete development for athletes.
Supporting the Archery GB Athlete Rep’s, including their development as reps and engagement with the Performance PAG/SLT staff.
Engaging with the sports brand in order to create a positive working environment and protect athlete and staff wellbeing as well as performance.
