Based at The Hayesbrook School, the Tonbridge & West Kent School Sports Partnership is committed to providing high quality physical education and sporting opportunities across the schools within the local area. The partnership delivers the national School Games programme, and offers a comprehensive buy-in scheme to support primary schools achieve the recommended outcomes of the sport premium funding. The School Sports Partnership also works with National Governing Bodies and other agencies assisting the development of coaches, officials, volunteers and the wider workforce.
The Tonbridge & West Kent School Sport Partnership (TWKSSP) is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic school sports coach to take on this exciting role and support the progression and development of physical education and school sport within the TWKSSP.
The role is part time (fixed term contract), 15 hours per week, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, although on occasions early morning / late evening work is occasionally required.
The post holder will support in the delivery of the partnership membership programme, develop an extensive school sport offer and assist in the facilitation of events, festivals and community driven projects to raise standards and enhance the school’s physical activity opportunities.
The post is flexible with opportunity to extend/reduce hours as required. Working days vary and can be flexed around other commitments of the successful candidate.

Sports Coach/Person Specification
Essential
• Minimum Level 2 Sports Coaching qualification
• Driver’s License and with access to own vehicle
• Passionate and enthusiastic to work in sport and with children
• Previous experience with coaching a variety of sports in different environments (primarily children aged 5-11)
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Ability to be adaptable in any situation
• Flexible approach
Desirable:
• Gymnastic Coach qualified
• Dance background/coaching experience
• 3 years-experience of sports coaching within primary schools

Our School Sport Partnership provides a range of CPD and support services to enrich your schools current PE and School Sport provision. We have earned a great reputation and constantly strive to improve on the service we deliver. We currently work with 75 schools across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook supporting these schools in a number of ways that is appropriate and applicable to them.
