Network Manager – Supporters Direct

Job Description
This fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team, we are looking for a Network Manager with a keen interest in football working to support and build our network, particularly helping our member Supporters Trusts in the English Football League.

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills and be comfortable managing their own workload. A commitment to the supporters’ trust movement, knowledge of professional football in England and an understanding of Co-operative values and principles are essential.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
General Skills:
‒ Excellent people skills and able to build external networks and relationships ‒ Good communications and lobbying skills; can provide effective written and verbal communications in a range of situations;
‒ Knowledge of the supporters’ trust movement and/or other co-operative movements
‒ Excellent organisational, management research and analytical skills and able to manage own workload and work in isolation
‒ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications

Sector Specific:
‒ Excellent knowledge and understanding of professional football in England and Wales
‒ Good understanding of the political and sporting frameworks
‒ Experience of community engagement and social enterprise/co-operative ownership models
‒ Experience of working with volunteer-based groups

Other: This role will involve travel across England and some parts of Wales
This role will include some weekend and evening work
