Head of Learning and Assessment – UK Coaching

Job Description
This exciting role that will ultimately lead the sector in learning and assessment for coaching. You will lead a dynamic and high performing team, manage critical relationships across a number of strategic partners and ensure the long term viability of learning and assessment for coaching.
This is a key leadership position in the business and will afford you the ability to shape the business of UK Coaching, you will therefore need to exhibit excellent leadership qualities. We would welcome applications from those who would relish the opportunity to make seismic change.’

Key Responsibilities:
1 Leading the strategic direction and delivery of the Learning & Assessment department, which incorporates, learning and assessment design, delivery and consultancy services.
2 Providing leadership, working across the business, to develop learning products and services for clients and UK Coaching.
3 Inspiring, leading and motivating the learning and assessment team to work across the business, engaging with colleagues, to deliver organisational outcomes.
4 Management of a varied team of learning and assessment professionals, including giving overall leadership/direction and instilling business excellence to grow the business whilst ensuring compliance with regulation and customer service standards.
5 Leading operational management and delivery of learning and assessment accountable for the departmental P&L, driving the learning and assessment strategy and service offer to realise our commercial strategy targets.
6 Developing and improving systems and processes ensuring they are relevant and robust to deliver excellent services.
7 Providing expert technical support, training and guidance to the team with complex/high profile queries in line with regulatory requirements and customer feedback.
8 Acting as the Principle Officer for compliance, conducting compliance checks throughout the lifecycle of products and services as required particularly in relation to regulated qualifications.
9 Liaising with colleagues across the Group to identify, develop and deliver market-leading and financially viable learning and assessment products.
10 Being accountable for building credibility and reputation through effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

11 Working closely with all insight partners, actively listening to customer feedback, and monitoring global best practice, to test and introduce innovations and new products and services.
12 Maintaining up to date knowledge and awareness of the industry and sector, and liaising with appropriate industry, employment, educational and learning contacts.
13 Conducting continuous monitoring of funding rules, technical requirements and other funding initiatives; acting to generate funding for learning and assessment provision and related products and services.
14 Liaising with the regulators, Sector Skills Councils, Skills Funding Agency and other key organisations that impact on business delivery and development.
15 Managing regulated qualifications processes and compliance.
16 Delivery of non-regulated learning to clients and through the UK Coaching Recognised Centre.
17 Resourcing and management of quality assurance, EQA’s, tutors, centres, etc.
18 Managing day to day relationships with relevant regulators.
19 Managing relationships with various clients including training providers and centres.
20 Undertaking specific projects as directed by the Senior Management.
21 Following, promoting and implementing the organisation’s policies for the equal treatment of all employees, applicants and customers.
