Job Description
This position will be part of the Sheffield United FC first team inter-disciplinary sport science team. The position will involve working closely with the sport science and medical department in Strength and Conditioning. The role is 35 hours a week but will require full flexibility. It is expected that the successful applicant with already have experience working full time in strength and conditioning in a professional sport and have a BSc or MSc dissertation thesis project in a strength and conditioning.

Main Duties:
• Design individual pre-habilitation programmes based on specific testing, movement patterns and past injury history in conjunction with the sports medicine team
• Assist with rehabilitation strength programs with the sports medicine team
• Physiologically test players to monitor fatigue and readiness to train
• Conduct regular physical testing with the first team players in order to track progress
• Design individualised position specific strength and speed programmes based off physical testing
• Facilitate a collaborative relationship among the first team management, sport science and sport medicine team by regularly reporting forms of feedback based off players physical testing
• Complete an annual budgetary proposal for the program that includes routine maintenance, purchase of new equipment
• Regularly conduct equipment safety checks and adhere to a clean safe working gymnasium

It is expected that the following skills and experience will be required:
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and experience of using force plate data to inform individual programming
• Knowledge and experience of using gym aware app to inform individual force velocity profiles
• Knowledge and experience in designing and delivering prehabilitation sessions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with an excellent working personality
• Professional approach to all aspects of work; punctual, reliable and diligent
• Strong motivational ability
• Able to work as part a team in a inter disciplinary sport science and medicine department
