35 Hours per week
£25,810 per annum

There’s never been a more exciting time to work alongside Swim England.
We are the only recognised National Governing Body for aquatic activity and celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2019. Our content and communications team were involved in:
• covering our fantastic national swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and open water competitions
• corporate event launches of major insight into the Value of Swimming at a Parliamentary reception
• working with national operators to show why people #LoveSwimming
• celebrating the achievements of elite athletes at major championships
• creating eye-catching video content
• reporting on awards ceremonies and the first inductees into our Hall of Fame
• plus raising our profile online and through our social media channels.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg…
As we head into an Olympic year, a unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and confident Communications and Content Officer to join the Swim England family.
You will be responsible for helping to develop and publish engaging written and visual content across Swim England’s digital communication channels.
Reporting to the Content and Communications Manager, you will also be tasked with leading on the development of filmed content for swimming.org and social media channels to help promote our industry-leading Learn to Swim programme and the coverage of all our sports.
This is an exciting opportunity working within the Commercial and Marketing department as part of a busy team.

The successful candidate must:
• Have a communications, journalism or comparable degree (or equivalent)
• Be able to write engaging, proactive and responsive communications and edit copy to a high standard
• Be highly competent at filming and editing engaging video content
• Be able to develop innovative ideas to create content for all our disciplines and platforms
• Be confident at getting the right message across, whether that be on a story for swimming.org, social media post, writing a newsletter or internal communications
• Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Be flexible to work some evenings and weekends to cover events
