Competitions and Events Intern – Manchester – England Squash

Job Description
Main purpose of the job:
• To provide quality administrative services to the England Squash Events Team.
• To play a supporting role in the successful delivery of the England Squash Events and Competitions Strategy under the guidance of the Director of Marketing & Communications.
• To become an integral member of the Competition and Events team, planning, organising, staging and assisting in the many competitions run by the association.

Key tasks within the role:
• To work in a team environment providing administrative support to the competition and events team.
• To assist in the advertising and promotion of events, utilising all communication channels including telephone, e-mail, websites including social media.
• Coordinate/plan/run the annual National Grand Prix event.
• To process incoming and outgoing telephone calls and e-mails, answering queries and taking follow up action where appropriate.
• To maintain and update computerised information i.e. Internet databases, MS Excel databases etc.
• To create and maintain effective office filing systems.
• To provide planning, logistical and on-site event assistance and management support for all England Squash events and provide support to clubs and organisers staging England Squash Sanctioned Events.
• To maintain and develop strong and positive relationships with all internal and external partners.
• To contribute to the continued improvement and development of England Squash.
• To undertake other duties from time to time as reasonably required.
