Never has there been a more exciting time to become involved in Scottish Sport, with the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games taking place this summer and the sport of Judo making a return to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, in 2022.
JudoScotland athletes have already won medals at European, World, Olympic and Paralympic level, alongside Judo becoming the most successful Scottish sport at a single Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.
Against this exciting backdrop, JudoScotland are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic, vibrant and dynamic Communications and Marketing Executive to join and further strengthen the team.
You will already have gained wide experience within a communications and marketing role, possibly as part of a team – though not necessarily within the sports sector – and are now ready to step up and take responsibility for communications and campaigns from concept to delivery. All this whilst working with some of the leading professionals within the Scottish sporting sector.
We are looking for an individual to provide leadership and delivery of strategic communications including: internal and external messaging; media relations; public relations; digital and social media; and issues management. Your key goals in the role will be to: strengthen the JudoScotland message; drive awareness of JudoScotland services, goods and athlete performances; provide accurate and compelling information to the Scottish media, JudoScotland members and supporters; and maximise responses, engagement and return on investment.
