Job Description

REPORTS TO
The Coach will report to a Regional Operations Manager.

CHARITY BACKGROUND
Dallaglio RugbyWorks is a long-term intensive skills development programme, based on the values of rugby, delivered to 14-17 year olds outside of mainstream education. The goal? To ensure they achieve sustained education, employment or training.
Dallaglio RugbyWorks is a three-year programme, working with young people from year 10 to year 12. Coaches currently work nationally in over 70 Alternative Provision Schools. Each pair of RugbyWorks coaches leads small groups of 8-10 young people, establishing the trust and support that is vital to their mentorship.
We use rugby as a hook, but the sessions also help develop young people’s soft skills, increasing engagement with school, developing communication, discipline and guiding them onto a suitable career path. We also ensure that all RugbyWorks participants are exposed to essential workplace experience such as employability taster days, workshops and placements. This lets them aspire to positive, productive futures.
The third year of the programme switches to a more mentoring based role, as we support young people in their transition out of Alternative Provision. By continuing our relationship, we help at-risk youngsters sustain further education, employment or traineeship for the longer-term.
We are looking for someone who has a shared passion to help young people and also shares our company values:
– We Will Be Brave
– We Will Nurture a Family Spirit
– We Will Proactively Adapt
– Always Aiming Higher
